The software-interrupt path

The ROM fires real brk #$42 and cop #$5a instructions from both native 16-bit and ordinary 8-bit width contexts. Separate C interrupt handlers count and mix each trap before rti resumes immediately after the signature byte.

Platform finding: the SNES SDK previously sent native COP to address $0000 and BRK to the shared IRQ handler.

Fix: distinct weak BRK/COP handlers and native vector slots across all five SNES platform layouts. The demo also motivated standalone assembler support for BRK's signature operand.

Result: host, default, a16, and xy16 all return 0xA34C; vector slots resolve to the real handlers.

What it shows

The upper BRK lane and lower COP lane carry independently moving packets derived from their own handler state. The gold seam represents the now-distinct vector slots; the HUD exposes exact hit counts and the verified CRC.
